Sébastien Masson

Sébastien Masson is a Senior Oracle DBA with over 16 years of experience in database administration and operations. He started his career at Sopra Group, where he began managing Oracle databases from version 9i. He also has some teaching experience, having lectured on Oracle database administration for apprentice students.

He then joined CERN as part of the IT/DB team, contributing to the administration of all Oracle databases supporting one of the world's most demanding scientific organisations — with a strong focus on high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity. He is currently Lead Database Administrator at Swissquote, a leading Swiss fintech, where he oversees mission-critical Oracle infrastructure.

His areas of expertise include Data Guard, RAC, and RMAN backup & recovery strategies, with a recent focus on Oracle ExaCC. Throughout his career, he has also developed a strong interest in DevOps practices applied to database operations, with hands-on experience in infrastructure automation using Ansible. Passionate about sharing knowledge and improving operational practices around Oracle engineered systems, Sébastien is joining the POUG community to exchange with fellow Oracle professionals.

Anthony Duneufjardin has been working as a DBA for over 15 years, across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server environments.
He started his career at Worldline/Atos managing production fleets of hundreds of database instances, then spent several years as a freelance consultant, including a long stint at Decathlon France running 300+ PostgreSQL instances across GCP, AWS and Aiven.

Over time he developed a strong DevOps practice alongside his DBA work, with Ansible as his main automation tool for database operations, complemented by GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines.

He now works as a DBA at Swissquote, a Swiss banking platform. His most recent project was a greenfield ExaCC deployment where he used Ansible to automate everything from initial setup to a full Data Guard switchover, delivered in three months.

He has a strong preference for open source technologies and tries to bring that mindset to every project he works on.

POUG Partnership

POUG is not only the official Oracle community – first of all it is the base of very active members, who are engaged in the group development both during the meetings and the preparations to them. Our message gets to the 400 people connected with databases – from the developers to the administrators and from the begginers to the experts with years of experience.

We would like to invite you to be a part of our event – it is a chance to show your brand during and before the meeting.
