Neil has been working in IT since 1988 initially as an Assembler Programmer on IBM Mainframes. He started working with Oracle v6 sometime around 1991.
He has managed global DBA and Development teams and is currently an independent Database Architect, specialising in Performance, RAC, Goldengate and DataGuard.
As well as Oracle, he has extensive experience using other relational and NoSQL database technologies, and has administered most flavours of Unix.
Neil is an Oracle ACE Director and a board member of the UK Oracle User Group. He likes good Italian coffee and Malt Whisky.
