I've been working as a DBA for over 15 years, across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server environments. I started my career at Worldline/Atos managing production fleets of hundreds of database instances, then spent several years as a freelance consultant, including a long stint at Decathlon France running 300+ PostgreSQL instances across GCP, AWS and Aiven.

Over time I developed a strong DevOps practice alongside my DBA work, with Ansible as my main automation tool for database operations, complemented by GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines.

I now work as a DBA at Swissquote, a Swiss banking platform. My most recent project was a greenfield ExaCC deployment where I used Ansible to automate everything from initial setup to a full Data Guard switchover, delivered in three months.

I have a strong preference for open source technologies and try to bring that mindset to every project I work on.
